What the Hot Tub Cover Warranty Does Not Cover

Improper Use, Abuse, and Accidental Damage

This cover warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Animals, fire, vandalism, or acts of God.
  • Excessive chemicals, chemical misuse, or poor water chemistry.
  • Improper installation, strain, or abuse of the cover.
  • Using the skirt as a handle, dragging the cover across the ground, or improper lifting methods.
  • Walking, standing, sitting, or leaning on the cover, resulting in foam breakage or skin tearing.
  • Excessive weight from rain, water, snow, ice, or debris.

Normal Wear & Tear

  • Ordinary wear and tear of materials and seams.
  • De-lamination and seam splitting due to improper handling.
  • Grommets and buckles, which are considered normal wear parts.
  • Fading of outer skin material and thread due to exposure to chemicals, sunlight, and weather is not considered a defect and will naturally occur over time.

Water Pooling

Water pooling on top of the spa cover is not considered a warranty-related issue. Pooling water is typically due to improper installation, lack of support, excess weight, or neglect. Any damage resulting from water pooling is not covered under this warranty policy.

Improper Storage & Handling

  • Warranty is void if scuffing, chafing, or wear holes appear due to the cover being dragged, stored, or leaned against sharp or abrasive objects.
  • Any damage caused by pulling or handling the cover by the straps or skirt (e.g., torn skirt, torn straps, heat bag tear) is not covered.

Environmental Limitations

The insulating spa cover warranty is void if:

  • Excessive use of chemicals or chemical damage occurs on the cover material.
  • The hot tub or spa is located within 15 feet of a window, vinyl fence, or wall taller than 10 feet, due to potential heat reflection damage.

Alterations, Unauthorized Repairs & Label Requirements

  • The cover warranty is void if the cover has been altered, misused, or abused, or if any repairs are attempted by anyone other than an authorized Master Spa Parts Online representative, unless express written approval is given.
  • Please note: if the cover tag/label is torn off, cut off, or missing, the warranty is completely void. A clear photo of this label is required for any warranty claim to be considered.

Limitation of Liability

Master Spa Parts Online shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages to any hot tub, spa, surrounding surfaces, or property arising from the use or inability to use the spa cover.

This warranty provides specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by state or region.
