The threaded adapter is optional and can be removed. If you take a look at the second picture, you will see a red arrow pointing down that says, "Threaded adapter is included for convenience. Remove as needed."
My spa has filter marked x268567 but picture looks different than mine. Mine has female threads on the bottom. 2025 Twilight & Legend (X268567) Outer Filter
Picture here shows male threads. Also seems very expensive!
