Is this hard plastic, so it won't flake off like the original one that came with my Twilight 7.25?

Yes, the Master Spa - X320640 - Filter Lid - Twilight Series is made of a hard plastic material. The X320640 does have the same dimensions as the the original filter lid for a 2024 Master Spas Twilight Series 7.25 hot tub.
