The formula for the Master Clear - Spa Brite 16 oz is proprietary so that's why specific ingredients aren't listed, but not hazardous so in compliance with SDS/HAZMAT standards. Oxidizer should be used before using Spa Brite. Oxidizer activates the Free Chlorine (which is a portion of the Total Chlorine) in the water. If both Free and Total Chlorine are in the 2 - 4 ppm range (and pH, Alkalinity, and Calclium Hardness are all in range) and the water is still cloudy, then the Spa Brite can be used for further water clarification.
